About Sustainalyse
Sustainalyse is a fast-growing startup developing innovative B2B sustainability data management software, specializing in ESRS compliance and GHG accounting. Our mission is to simplify sustainability reporting for businesses through cutting-edge automation and seamless data integration.
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Business Development to drive our sales strategy, expand our client base, and establish strong industry partnerships. As part of a small, agile team, you will play a critical role in shaping our growth and market position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to acquire and grow B2B customers in relevant markets.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, leading deals from prospecting to close and take ownership of revenue targets.
- Gather customer insights to refine our value proposition and sales approach, and work closely with product and engineering teams to align the solution with market needs.
- Establish strategic partnerships with relevant industry and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences.
- Search and perform for investment opportunities.
- Hiring and leading a team as the company grows. There will be an assistant available to help you with basic tasks (such as research, etc.) from day 1 so that you can focus on bigger projects.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, business development, or partnerships.
- Proven track record in enterprise sales within sustainability, ESG, or compliance tech.
- Entrepreneurial mindset – hands-on, self-driven, and adaptable in a startup environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with C-level stakeholders.
- Knowledge of ESRS, GHG accounting, and corporate sustainability reporting is a strong plus
- Experience working in European markets is a strong plus.
